Tomatoes do not have too high soil requirements. It can be cultivated in any type of soil, provided it is rich in nutrients, fertile, not too heavy or loose. Tomatoes require soil that is well-cultivated, permeable and easily soakable. The tomato is not sensitive to light soil acidification, and its optimal pH should be between 5.5 and 7.5. If soil analysis has not been performed, the number of mineral fertilizers per hectare in the sites moderately rich in nutrients should be 100-150 kg N, 80-150 kg P2O5, 150-200 kg K2O. The tomato is especially sensitive to the deficiency of phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and micronutrients.
