Pepper plants have higher nutritional requirements than tomatoes. Pepper requires fertile, aerated, humus-rich soils that are in good condition, warm up quickly, with regulated water ratios. Heavy and cold soils are of little use.  Suitable soil pH for peppers is 6.7-7.2. If soil analysis has not been performed, the number of mineral fertilizers per hectare in the sites moderately rich in nutrients should be: 120-170 kg N, 100-200 kg P2O5, 100-240 kg K2O. Pepper is especially sensitive to the deficiency of phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and micronutrients.
